Capurro Group & Gedime Motors Support St John’s Golf Day
Capurro Group and Gedime Motors were proud to take part in this year’s St John’s Golf Day, a charity event held to support the invaluable work carried out by St John’s Ambulance Gibraltar. The event brought together businesses, sponsors, and local supporters for a day of sport, awareness, and community giving.St John’s provides crucial first aid services, volunteer training, and emergency medical response across Gibraltar. Their presence at public events and their work in schools, workplaces, and the wider community make them one of Gibraltar’s most vital health and safety organisations.To support the event, Capurro Group donated a Mercedes-Benz branded golf bag and merchandise pack worth £600, while A.M. Capurro contributed a weekend Defender rental voucher, also valued at £600. Both prizes helped raise funds through the golf day’s charity raffle and auction.It was a pleasure for the teams from both Gedime and A.M. Capurro to participate on the course and contribute to a day that successfully raised awareness and support for a great cause.We extend our thanks to St John’s Ambulance Gibraltar for their tireless work — and to all those who took part in making the day a success.

Gedime Motors, part of the Capurro Group, is proud to have supplied Gibraltar’s first hybrid London-style taxi for public trials, in partnership with the Gibraltar Taxi Association.
The vehicle combines electric propulsion with a small petrol engine, providing a more sustainable and efficient alternative to traditional taxis. Fully wheelchair accessible and designed for passenger comfort, the vehicle retains the classic design of the iconic London cab while delivering the benefits of modern hybrid technology.
The trial will help assess the vehicle’s suitability for Gibraltar’s roads and daily taxi use, with the Gibraltar Taxi Association and drivers invited to evaluate its performance. If successful, it could form part of a wider rollout supporting Gibraltar’s transition towards lower-emission transport.
Gedime Motors is pleased to support this important step in local mobility, and remains committed to working with public and private partners to help shape a cleaner, more inclusive transport future for Gibraltar.
